Welcome to this week’s edition of the Forza Week in Review. This week, the barrage of car reveals begins as the Forza Garage opens its doors, the Forza Horizon 3 PC demo gets an important update, #Forzathon’s has the W Motors Lykan Hypersport up for grabs (among other great rewards) and more. I’m glad you’re here, so let’s get started!

Opening the Forza Garage

You’ve been asking for it and, this week, we threw open the doors of the Forza Garage for Forza Motorsport 7, revealing more than 160 cars in the first week alone. The focus of this week was high-performance makes, cars like the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. It’s a heady mix of supercars, hypercars, and just plain awesomeness. Dig a little deeper, however, and you’ll find some hidden gems, including cars that haven’t been seen in a Forza game for a while – like the Ferrari F40 Competizione and the 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion.

And to think we’re not even halfway done with revealing more the than 700 cars that will be part of Forza 7. Look for more Forza Garage fun over the next few weeks!

Forza Horizon 3 Demo Update

This week, we updated the Windows 10 PC demo for Forza Horizon 3, most importantly bringing the minimum PC spec for the Forza Horizon 3 demo in line with the full version of the game. Specifically, here’s the minimum spec supported by the Forza Horizon 3 demo since the update:

Operating System

Windows 10 14393.102

DirectX

DirectX12 API, hardware Feature Level 11

Memory

8 GB

Video Memory

2 GB

Processor

i3-4170 @ 3.7 Ghz

Graphics

NVIDIA GT 740/AMD R7 250x

In addition to the updated minimum specs, the new performance improvements that came along with the recent Hot Wheels expansion are now part of the Forza Horizon 3 PC demo. If you’ve got a Windows 10 PC but haven’t yet tried out the Forza Horizon 3 demo, this week’s update means it’s the perfect time to give it a go! You can find the demo in the Windows 10 Store now.

ChinaJoy 2017

A quick reminder that the Forza Racing Championship ChinaJoy Invitational will be happening next weekend on July 28 and 29. Some of the best Forza Motorsport 6 players in China will converge for a chance to compete for the ChinaJoy Invitational crown, where the overall winner will be invited to a future ForzaRC event. The tournament won’t be viewable live outside of China but we will be producing English-langauge video-on-demand replays of both days of competition, starting on Friday, July 28. Those will be found on the official Forza Motorsport YouTube channel.

#Forzathon – By the Light of the Moon

The W Motors Lykan Hypersport is the reward of choice for this weekend’s lineup of #Forzathon events in Forza Horizon 3. To bring it home, you’ll need to complete the “Howling” challenge by earning three stars in a Speed Zone. Simple, right? Elsewhere, big XP and credits bonuses abound, including one event starring the oddball Plymouth Prowler, aptly named “Prowling.” Happy hunting!

#ForzaFriday

On today’s edition of #ForzaFriday we’ll be welcoming a couple of very special guests to the show – two folks that I’m sure many of you in the Forza community will be familiar with. Together, we’ll be tackling some of the aforementioned #Forzathon events in today’s livestream, starting at 3 p.m. Pacific on the official Forza Motorsport Mixer channel. In addition, we’ve got a new Bucket List event to try out and, of course, we’ll be hitting the circuits in Forza Motorsport 6 to get in some racing during the show, including our weekly Random Ring Race, and more. Be there at 3 p.m. for all the fun!
