Forza Week in Review 11-22-17

It’s Thanksgiving week here in the U.S., which means that we’ve got an early version of the Forza Week in Review for you. Though we’re glad for some much-needed holiday time, the pace hasn’t slowed down at all for Forza 7 fans. Today we’ve got an update on our Gears of War suits, new #Forzathon events and new Mods in Forza 7, and a one final update on our November Bounty Hunter event.

Mods Update

Since the launch of Forza Motorsport 7, we’ve been paying close attention to how the community is playing the game. One of our areas of focus has been how players use Mods in the game. In particular, we’ve looked at which Dare Mods players keep and use and which they sell back. We’ve also been looking at which assist settings different groups of players prefer in the game. Today we replaced existing Basic and Advanced Mod with a less expensive difficulty-based group. This gives players the ability to better select the kinds of Mods they want based on their skill level, while at the same time getting rid of cards that were unpopular in the community – cards like “Perfect Pass” and “Perfect Drift.” Check it out.

Gears of War Driver Gear Update

As we announced last week, we’ve got some great Gears of War Driver Gear suits coming to Forza Motorsport 7. Players who played Gears of War 4 before October 31 will be eligible to receive a code for the Gears of War 4 Driver Gear suit. In addition, players can win the JD and Kait Driver Gear suits by playing two events in Forza Motorsport 7: “Pushing it to the Limit” (Kait) and “Major Micro Track Days” (JD).

An important update for all three of these suits: Codes for the Gears of War 4 suit will not be going out this week as originally planned. Instead, codes will begin going out to eligible players via Xbox Live in early December. Players who miss the October 31 cutoff date for the Gears 4 suit will still be able to play Gears 4 before December 31, 2017 and receive the Driver Gear suit via a code drop in January. In addition, the JD and Kait suits will be sent to eligible players beginning in early December as well. We’ve also extended the eligibility period to set a time in the respective Rivals events to December 5. So, get your time in now and get ready to suit up in Gears style beginning in December!

New #Forzathon Events

We’ve got a two newf #Forzathon events in Forza 7 live now and you can win two great cars with them: the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe and the 1957 Porsche 356A. Check out the “Speed is Key” and “To the Finish Line” events for more on how to get these great cars!

November Bounty Hunter

One other cool item to keep you busy over the holiday weekend: There’s still time to set a lap in our November Bounty Hunter event! Forza creative director Dan Greenawalt (GT: Nebuchadnezzar) is everyone’s target this month and he’ll be busy lowering his best lap time this week. In fact, Dan will set his final time no later than 5 p.m. Pacific on Friday, November 24. And don’t forget, we’ve got not one but THREE exclusive cars you can win in this event. Here’s how it breaks down:

· Set a time in the event and win the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupe

· Set a clean lap under 1:40.000 and win the 2004 Ferrari Scaglietti

· Beat Dan’s final posted time (11/24, 5 p.m. Pacific) and win the 2016 W Motors Lykan HyperSport

That’s it! Your chance to get three cars you can’t find anywhere else in Forza 7. The event closes at midnight Pacific on Sunday, November 26, so get your times in now. If, like us, you’re celebrating Thanksgiving this week, we hope you have a great one. For everyone else, we’ll be back next week for more Forza fun. See you then!
