The “Welcome to Forza Motorsport 7” #Forzathon event should now track and complete as intended]. The team is currently investigating now. In the meantime, check out our Known Issues thread on the forums for the full rundown.
November Bounty Hunter – Dan Greenawalt
Last month we kicked off our Bounty Hunter series in sterling fashion with 2017 IndyCar champ Josef Newgarden. Now we’ve got a new challenger for you: Turn 10 creative director Dan Greenawalt! The new Bounty Hunter event begins today, and you’ll find it in the Featured Events channel of Rivals. As always, the goal here is to beat the Bounty; doing so will get you a sweet exclusive car as a reward (more on that in just a bit).
Our November Bounty Hunter event will run until November 26, which gives everyone more than two weeks to train up to try and beat Dan’s final fastest time, which will be set during the week of November 19. We’ll be sure to keep the community updated on Dan’s current time to beat, as well as his final posted time well ahead of the event’s closing. If you want to find out how you compare as the Bounty Hunter event rolls along, be sure and follow Dan (GT: Nebuchadnezzar) on Xbox Live. We’ll be driving Dan’s own car – the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R – on one of his favorite Forza tracks, Laguna Seca.
Now for the good part: rewards! For everyone who takes part in this month’s Bounty Hunter (that is, setting a time on leaderboard) will receive the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupe. Those who beat Dan’s time will also be rewarded with an exclusive car, and the Forza Community gets to vote on which car that will be. On Tuesday, Nov. 14 at around 10 a.m. Pacific, we’ll post a poll on our official Forza Motorsport Twitter account, giving everyone the chance to vote on the exclusive car that will end up being the November Bounty Hunter Reward car. The poll will be live for three days and we’ll announce the winning car in next week’s edition of the Week in Review.
New Hoppers – Drag, S-Class Breakout
In addition to our new Bounty Hunter event, we’ve got a new pair of multiplayer hoppers going live today in the game. These include a new Breakout Hopper (S Class) and new drag event. Take a look:
Title: Breakout Hopper S Class
Description: Tune up the car of your choice (within S Class restriction) and then hit the track against Forza players from around the world.
Restrictions: S Class
Type: Drag Hopper
Title: What a Drag!
Description: Nostalgia hits the Strip!
Restrictions: Nostalgic Drag Racers
We’ve got three great cars available in the Forza 7 Specialty Dealer right now – from the intimidating madness of the Nissan TITAN Warrior Concept to the 2005 SUBARU Impreza WRX STi, and the costly (but worth it) 2008 Lamborghini Reventón. There’s still a few days to grab those cars and, next week, look for three new entries, including the Subaru Legacy B5 2.0 GT, the TVR Sagaris, and the Ferrari 458 Italia.
New Prize Crates
Earlier this week, we introduced three new mystery prize crates to Forza 7, ranging in size from the Mini Mystery Crate, which features two items, to the Large Mystery Crate (four items), and all the way up to our Mega Mystery Crate which contains six items, our largest crate yet. All the these mystery crates include a chance to earn a Legendary item, including cars, Driver Gear, Mods, and Badges.
Auction House Update
Last week’s update for Forza Motorsport 7 included the activation of the Auction House in the game. WE are aware of a couple of issues with the Auction House, including slow search overall and the inability for some cars to be sold on the AH. We are investigating both matters and I hope to have more updates soon. In the meantime, we’ve limited the number of searches results that appear to 100 while we investigate the issue. Look for more information soon.
What do you get when you combine the Porsche Experience Center at Silverstone International Raceway, a bunch of great Porsches available for hooning, and Forza Motorsport 7. A great time! Recently we invited some friends of Forza out to Silverstone for a day of fun at Silverstone, including some competition in Forza 7, as well as some real-life driving in some amazing Porsche models. Check out recap video for all the fun:
#Forzathon – Forza Horizon 3 – Time to Race
As you saw above, #Forzathon events are now open for business in Forza Motorsport 7 and they’re still going strong in Forza Horizon 3. Take a look at this weekend’s events:
Heavy Metal Affliction – 2014 BMW i3
This week the range of cars featured in our Heavy Metal Affliction car culture series went an entirely new direction and featured an EV. Electric vehicles are seen by some as a threat to the good old internal combustion engine. One drive in the i3 might convince you that they are something to be appreciated rather than feared though. At least that is how community writer Johniwanna felt.
This BMW i3 is owned by Forza Global Marketing Manager Chris Bishop, and the story is an eye-opening look at the role EVs are taking in the world of cars.
